Give a loving animal a second chance at life during October

October is 'National Adopt a Shelter Dog month' and several animals are looking for loving families at the SPCA Serving Erie County.

"I think these animals are so grateful to have a second chance at life," says Bethany Kloc, communications manager at the SPCA Serving Erie County. Many dogs are surrendered because their families can't take care of them or move, among many other reasons. They're scared and confused but always happy when they find their perfect match.

The SPCA Serving Erie County currently has a number of dogs available for adoption, including a dog from a Florida shelter, brought here because of Hurricane Irma. Don't forget about the kittens, birds and lizards also available to bring home!

If you can't adopt right now, the SPCA is always looking for volunteers and donations. You can find more information and animals available for adoption here.
