A 14 year-old girl seriously injured in an ATV crash over the weekend in Clarence has died.

Mikaela Gwitt was a passenger on an ATV that rolled over Saturday night on a bike path between Gunnville and Wehrle roads.

She was taken off life-support on Wednesday and died a few hours later at Women and Children's Hospital.

Gwitt attended Depew High School.

The operator of the ATV, a 15 year-old boy, was not seriously hurt.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office tells 7 Eyewitness News it is working with the district attorney's office to determine if any charges will be filed.

This is the second tragedy to hit this family in three years. In December 2014, Gwitt's 18 year-old sister Amanda Macaluso was killed in a crash involving a tractor trailer in Marilla.

A GoFundMe pageset up by family friends after this past weekend's crash will help the girls' mother cover funeral expenses for Gwitt.
