Here's how to make $13 an hour this summer sitting outside

Calling all lifeguards! The City of Buffalo wants you to keep the pools safe as opening day approaches.

The City of Buffalo Division of Parks and Recreation is looking for qualified high school and college-age students to apply for positions. 

According to the city recreation department, you must be at least 16-years-old and have a Red Cross Lifeguard certification with annual CPR certification.

About 14 certified lifeguards are needed. The position pays $13 an hour. Any student interested in applying for any city lifeguard positions is asked to contact City of Buffalo Pools and Rinks Supervisor Jim Blake at 716-851-5998. 

Buffalo city pools are open from July 1st to Labor Day.
