WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) - The motto is "strong at every level," which means you can find a way to get your heart racing if you're new to the gym, a fitness fanatic or coming back after a little break.
Level Red Boxing in Williamsville offers a boxing-inspired workout, combining punches with kettlebells, cardio and strength training. Classes are offered in 30 minute, 60 minute and 90 minute durations.
Each newcomer to Level Red starts with a green pair of boxing gloves. After you take 100 classes, you'll get a pair of free yellow boxing gloves and after 200 classes, you'll be awarded with red gloves.
Although classes are done in a group setting, there's no pressure to compare yourself to the person next to you. Each class offers modifications and urges people to push themselves, but not if it means working outside your limits. Visual aids on TV screens around the gym also offer examples of how each workout move is done if you lose your place or forget what comes next.
Level Red Boxing also embraces technology, offering real-time heart rate monitoring and body tracking.
You can burn anywhere from 500 to 1000 calories during a class.
