Gas prices around Western New York are staying steady, but when could they drop?

AAA Western and Central New York says the average price per gallon in Buffalo has not changed at all since last week, coming in at $2.99. In Batavia, it's dropped two cents to $2.94 per gallon. Statewide, the average has only fallen a penny to $2.99; that's still 14 cents higher than the national average of $2.85 per gallon.

The Energy Information Administration says the demand for gasoline dropped to one of its lowest rates of the season last week and stocks also fell. The EIA says many gas stations nationwide may begin selling winter-blended gasoline in the coming weeks, meaning you could save a few bucks at the pump.
