Gas prices remain steady across New York state, despite a broken pipeline in Alabama which has caused outages in many areas.

According to AAA, the price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $2.27, which has not changed since last week. The price per gallon in New York state remains at $2.32.

Across the country, the price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline has risen three cents to $2.21 because of the broken pipeline. According to AAA, some gas stations in the south are completely out of gas. The ruptured pipeline is one of two pipelines that send gas from Texas to New York.
