Gas prices increased for a third consecutive week.
According to AAA, the national price for unleaded gas went up 8 cents from last week to $2.22 per gallon.
Despite the increase, the national average is still 40 cents lower than it was one year ago.
AAA says an increased fuel demand has pushed oil prices higher.
The average price for unleaded gas in Buffalo also increased 8 cents from last week and now sits at $2.34 per gallon.
