The national average price for regular, unleaded gasoline is down one cent from last week. It now sits at $2.30 per gallon.

The New York State average is down two cents from last week, at $2.43 per gallon. Costs are slightly lower in Western New York, with Buffalo's average at $2.41 per gallon.

According to Oil Price Information Service, there could be a slight increase in April as refineries use up the winter supply of fuel, before switching to the more expensive summer blend. But prices aren't expected to go any higher than the $2.50 - $2.75 range for the rest of 2017.
