The price of gas has dropped nationally, but is on the rise in New York State.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of unleaded gas dropped two cents from last week to $2.04 per gallon.

The average price per gallon in New York State is $2.18, up a penny from last week.

In Buffalo, the average is currently $2.14, also up a penny from last week.

Refineries are switching over to summer-blend gasoline, which costs more to produce and will likely cause higher prices in the areas that use that type of fuel.
