The national average for regular unleaded gasoline has just hit $2.14 per gallon, according to a recent report from AAA.
The average price in Buffalo is down one cent from last week, now $2.36 per gallon. And although prices are higher now than they were this time last year, Americans have reportedly spent nearly $30 billion less on gasoline compared to last year.
The lower prices are a sign of increased travel caused by economic improvements in the second half of the year, higher pay, more consumer spending, better consumer confidence, according to AAA.
