Frontier Central Schools will be closed on Thursday due to the fire at the Bethlehem Steel site.
On Wednesday, precautions were taken by moving students to local school districts to ensure the safety of its students and staff.
Big Tree students have moved to Pinehurst Elementary, while Cloverbank and Blasdell Elementaries have been moved to Lakeshore Middle School.
The district says state fire officials have advised it to keep the remainder of the students at the Middle and High school to stay within their building.
Parents should know that their students are safe and no one is in danger, according to a note from the district. Parents are asked to not come to the buildings. School officials do not plan to release students until the "shelter in place" ordered for the Town of Hamburg is lifted.
