A Canadian Pacific freight train went off the tracks in Buffalo Wednesday morning.

Buffalo Police say the train was going under an overpass on tracks near Main Street and Jewett Parkway around 11:30 a.m. when the train's intermodal containers hit the undercarriage of the overpass. There was no damage to the bridge and no one was injured.

CSX tells 7 Eyewitness News the train has 48 cars, and CSX personnel responded to the scene to evaluate the situation and restore the scene.

An eyewitness who lives nearby the derailment scene told a 7 Eyewitness News photographer the impact shook her house. She also said she has never seen a train try and go under the overpass with containers double stacked the way they were on the Canadian Pacific train.

The official cause of the derailment is under investigation.
