Four time convicted felon and his wife arrested during drug raid

A husband and wife team were arrested on Friday during a narcotics raid after detectives found cocaine and a stolen and loaded handgun.

Erie County Sheriff's Office says Michael and Nicole Billups of Buffalo were arrested around 12:20 a.m. during an execution of a search warrant at their Briscoe Street residence.

Detectives say they found four ounces of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded .38 caliber handgun. The Sheriff's Office discovered the gun was stolen.

Michael Billups, 37, and Nicol Billups, 47, are both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a stolen property, all felony counts. They are also charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael Billups is being held in the Erie County Holding Center without bail. Nicole Billups was released after posting $50,000 bail.
