At least five people were injured in the span of one hour, in four separate shootings across Buffalo.
According to Buffalo police, the violence began just before midnight Tuesday. A person walked into ECMC after being shot near Bailey Avenue and Dartmouth Avenue. Police say that person's injuries are not life threatening.
Just after 12:10 a.m. Tuesday morning, Buffalo police say a man was shot in the leg in the first block of Sattler Avenue.
Around 12:30 a.m., police say another person was shot on Kent Street and Warren Avenue. About half an hour later, at least two people were shot near Broadway and Strauss. Our crew there says a body was covered in the street on Broadway. Police later confirmed one person died.

There were also reports of a shooting at Canalside, which led to a panic among some people attending the fireworks show. Police tell us there was not a shooting there.
