A former licensed real estate agent now admits she stole painkillers from homes across Erie County.

Jill Hart, 38 of Williamsville, pleaded guilty Friday in State Supreme Court to six counts of third-degree burglary.

Hart admits she entered homes for sale in Amherst, Cheektowaga, Clarence, Eden, Lancaster and West Seneca pretending to act as an agent for clients who did not exist. Once inside, she stole narcotic painkillers.

Hart faces up to seven years in prison on each of the six burglary counts.

Prosecutors say a number of local real estate agents and companies, as well as the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors, assisted with the investigation.
