A former Bills linebacker and defensive end was found dead in a home in Detroit sometime between Monday and Tuesday night.

According to WXYZ in Detroit, Robert Eddins, 28, and his friend, Ricky McFarlin, 31, were out having a good time Monday night when sources tell them the two men were followed home, robbed and killed.

Police say family members last talked to Eddins around 6:00 p.m. Monday night, and the two victims were found by Eddins' father Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. The two men were found shot to death in the basement of a house.

Police say the gas was turned on in the house, as if the gunman tried covering his tracks.
