Food Bank of WNY continues to gather donations

Workers and volunteers with the Food Bank of Western New York have been working around the clock to get ready for Thanksgiving but their work is far from over.

Mike Billoni with the Food Bank said that despite the bad weather, their campaigns, including Operation Rock Out Hunger and 7 Cares for the Community, were successful. Now they are looking for donations to sustain them throughout the year.

Although the Food Bank looks for food donations, monetary gifts are also a necessity. The organization has great buying power and gets deals on the things people need most.

Channel 7 is part of 7 Cares for the Community and will be collecting donations at any First Niagara Bank location and at foodbankwny.org. This donation drive runs until Friday, December 5, 2014.
