Amherst resident Kirk Miller and his friend, John Burnham, are trying to make the fastest trip by a commercial airline to six continents.
“All I have to do is land the plane, on each continent, get out of the plane, and get back on a different plane," Miller told 7 Eyewitness News when we met him last month.
The pair’s itinerary is as follows: Bangkok, Australia, Los Angeles, Columbia, Madrid, Cairo, and back to Bangkok. They’re hoping to make it in 64 hours and change. The record stands at 66 hours and 31 minutes.
According to their Facebook post, things were looking good for Miller and Burnham. Both were set to board their first flight to Sydney, Australia later than expected which would shave some time off the total trip.
