A Buffalo man led police on a pursuit through Lockport while throwing fake $100 bills out the window of his vehicle, according to police.
Police say 23-year-old Christopher Matyjakowski failed to stop for authorities on Lincoln Avenue in Lockport at around 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. According to police, during the pursuit, a 'cloud of money' was thrown out of Matyjakowski Honda's window.
Police tell us Matyjakowski crashed and left his vehicle on Bunker Hill Road. Deputies used a drone and a K9 to locate the suspect. The K9 was able to track down Matyjakowski at a residence on Bunker Hill Road.
Police say Matyjakowski was in possession of counterfit $100 bills. Matyjakowski was taken to ECMC for crash-related injuries.
Matyjakowski was arraigned at the Town of Royalton Court. He was taken to the Niagara County Jail.
