Several road closures were reported Wednesday due to flooding.
According to Nittec the following roads are closed as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Town of Newstead
- Cedar Street is closed from Brucker Road to Koepsel Road.
- Koepsel Road is closed from Route 93 to Cedar Road.
- Burdick Road is closed from Kelkenberg Road to Tonawanda Creek Road.
Village of Akron
- Fletcher Road is closed from Moore Road to Tonawanda Creek Road.
Tonawanda Creek Road is closed from Burdick Road to Route 93.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for communities along Tonawanda Creek in both Erie and Niagara counties. The warning expires Thursday at 7 a.m.
