A new study from Roswell Park was released on Monday that shows certain flavors in e-cigarettes pose a bigger health risk.
Among the flavors tested, strawberry was actually the most toxic.
In addition, the study also showed that higher voltage devices can also cause more harm. The higher the battery voltage output, the greater the toxicity.
According to the author, Dr. Maciej Goniewicz, "this study suggests that various characteristics of e-cigarettes, including any flavorings, may induce inhalation toxicity and therefore, caution should be used with these products until more comprehensive studies are performed."
The study has been published by the journal Tobacco Control.
