Do you know someone who's thinking about moving to Western New York? They many want to move Eggertsville to the top of their list.

The hamlet within the Town of Amherst ranks 19th onniche.com's list of the 2016 Best Places to Live - the highest of any city, town or village in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

In all, five Western New York communities made the top 100. Williamsville ranks 41st, followed by Amherst at 42, Orchard Park at 52 and Aurora at 95.

The rankings are based on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and quality of life. Information for the statistics comes from the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI and the CDC, among others.

Kensington in Nassau County tops the list, followed by University Gardens and Scarsdale.
