Erie County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a two car crash that sent five people, including four teenagers, to the hospital.

Deputies say the crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday night at Willardshire and Milestrip Roads in Elma.

According to deputies, a 17-year-old boy was driving east on Milestrip Road when it collided with a car being driven by a 58-year-old woman driving north on Willardshire Road.

Investigators believe one driver failed to stop for a stop sign.

Joan Matter, 58, was taken to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight.

The driver of the other car was taken to South Buffalo Mercy for non-life threatening injuries. Three passengers, a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were taken to ECMC. A 14-year-old girl was taken to Women and Children's Hospital. All of the teens are from the Orchard Park area.

All are expected to be okay, though three were originally listed in critical condition.

Deputies are now investigating whether one of the drivers ran a stop sign and caused the crash.
