A popular dessert destination in the Southtowns is going out of business.
Firefly Cupcakes on Main Street in East Aurora will close its doors for good on January 14.
"I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Firefly Cupcakes," owner Wendy Egloff posted on the store's Facebook page. "Thank you so being so incredibly supportive over six and-a-half years. We have accomplished and grew more than I could have ever imagined."
Customers who have placed orders will be contacted directly, the store says.
Firefly opened a second location on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo in 2013. That location closed a short time later.
