A man and his dog are safe after being rescued from the water in Niagara Falls.
Police say a passerby called 911 after the man jumped in the water after his dog around 4 p.m. Thursday.
The man was able to get his dog into a tire hanging on the side of a dock and firefighters then got the dog from the tire and the man from the water.
Police say both the man and the dog were not injured.
