The LeRoy Fire Department says an electric fence hindered them from responding quickly to a fire in a parking lot of an Automotive Repair Shop.

The fire broke out in two vehicles just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning at Copart Automotive in LeRoy.

Fire officials say they were unable to gain access to the fire because of the fence, and they had to wait for a key holder to let them in.

According to fire official, the fire spread from two vehicles to 22 vehicles.

One firefighters was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
