Woman charged with DWI had baby in back seat

A woman has been charged with felony DWI under Leandra's Law after police say she was driving drunk with a 9-month-old child in the back seat of her car.

State Police pulled over Jacquelyn A. McCord, 25, of Little Valley on Rt. 242 in the Town of Machias for equipment violations Thursday evening. Troopers say she was intoxicated and had a 9-month-old baby in her back seat.

McCord, who has a prior DWI arrest, was charged with felony DWI, felony DWI under Leandra's Law, first degree aggravated unlicensed operator, equipment violations and driving with a suspended license.

Police say she had a .13 percent BAC.

McCord was arraigned in Town of Machias Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $500 bail.
