BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — There is some sad news from the world of high fashion.

Japanese designer Kenzo Takada died in Paris Sunday from COVID-19.

He was most famous for creating the international luxury fashion house, Kenzo.

A spokesperson from the company released a statement expressing "immense sadness" from the loss of its celebrated artistic director.

Kenzo Takada was 81 years old.
