A Cattaraugus County couple is facing even more animal abuse charges.
Donald and Bonnie George are accused of neglecting 600 animals at their Farmersville, New York farm.
Mr. George talked to 7 Eyewitness News Reporter, Justin Moore about the charges he and his wife are facing. He said the situation is a big misunderstanding. "I feel it's unfounded. My wife and I have been farmers all of our lives. We were born and raised on dairy farms," Donald George said.
The S.P.C.A. seized hundreds of animals from the couple's Cattaraugus County property, after an investigation.
Investigators told 7EWN they found 600 animals including ducks and horses living in horrible conditions.
Many of the animals remain on the George Family's Elton Road farm. The S.P.C.A. is currently taking care of the animals that are on the property.
Donald and Bonnie face several counts of animal cruelty charges.
The George Family told 7EWN that they took good care of the animals and they don't understand why the S.P.C.A. is causing confusion."I have a system in place of feed and the way I take care of them that we been using for years, and it works for us. Now they stepping in they think they are helping, but actually they just adding confusion," Donald said.
