AMHERST, N.Y.(WKBW) - It's no secret that the Buffalo Bills are going to the playoffs for the first time since 1999. The same year MySpace was introduced to the world.
Filled with excitement, fans are making their way to stores to stock up on Buffalo Bills apparel.
At Laux Sporting Goods inside the Boulevard Mall some fans are shelling out as much as $50 to $100 on all kinds of gear. Many are looking for t-shirts, sweaters, and hats. Some items are still on sale from Christmas.
"I've been around for a while. So it's like the old days which is great to see. It's a whole new generation of fans back on the Bills bandwagon, so it's fantastic," Joe Eckl, manager of Laux said.
Some fans are turning to their smart phones and tablets to find Bills merchandise. Tonight the Better Business Bureau wants you to be on the defense and look out for online merchandise scammers.
Melanie McGovern said there's always social media ads that's delivered to people because of their internet search cookies. Sometimes those ads are third party overseas scammers.
"It's always good to make sure if you're buying merchandise you're buying it from the Bills Store or another reputable online seller," McGovern said.
The Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars happens Sunday, January 7th at 1:00pm.
