A Hamburg family is asking for the community's help. The family is trying to raise money to buy special glasses for their legally blind son.

Eight-year-old Aiden Bishop was born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. It's a condition where his optic nerves are underdeveloped.

Aiden's stepmom found out about eSight glasses, which is a special pair of eyeglasses with high-speed, high-definition camera that captures everything in real time then displays it on two near-to-eye display.

But the glasses cost $10,000, so Aiden's dad, Christopher, went to Facebook to ask for help.

The family visited Toronto on Wednesday, where the eSight headquarters are located. Aiden tried on the glasses for the first time.

"Once he said he could see our faces, I just melted into the chair," Christopher said.
