Explore & More Children's Museum's mission is to celebrate the community of Western New York and part of celebrating the community is to honor veterans.

On Sunday, November 11th and Monday, November 12th current and past service members with ID will get free admission to the museum.

On Veteran's Day,  from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the museum in East Aurora at 300 Gleed Avenue, museum staff will help children make blankets to donate to Buffalo's VA Medical Center. Kids will get a chance to make no-sew wheelchair blankets to learn the importance to honoring our service members. Staff and visitors will also be making cards and collecting travel size toiletries to send to Deployed Service Members of the 914th from Niagara Falls Air Base.

Explore & More is collecting the travel size toiletries like soaps, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, toothpastes, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, Kleenex and baby wipes. Anyone wanting to make a donation can call Kristin Scholz at 380-8565.
