Cara Dickey, the former South Buffalo Charter School teacher who had sex with a student, is out of jail again.

The New York State Department of Corrections has released Dickey, 38, from the Alden Correctional Facility, where she had been serving time for violating her parole.

Dickey was convicted in March 2009 of second-degree rape for having sex the previous year with a 14 year-old boy. She was released in August 2014 but was arrested again last year for violating her probation.

Prosecutors said Dickey had an unapproved relationship with a fellow parolee - who was not a minor - and failed to comply with her parole officer.

Dickey, who is now a registered sex offender, will remain on probation until 2020.
