Everybody hates Tom, Bill and the New England Patriots

Posted

There is only one thing Buffalo Bills fans want to see more than the rise of their own team, the downfall of the New England Patriots.

“I don't like Tom Brady.”

“Hate them.”

“I hate the Patriots.”

That’s a quick sample of comments heard outside of Key Bank Center, Thursday night.

“It's just kind of pathetic that they have to cheat to win,” said another Bills fan.

The Bills may “run deep,” but Bills fans hatred for the New England Patriots runs thousands of miles below the surface of Lake Erie.

That means as the Patriots head to the Super Bowl for the 9th time in their franchise history, most of western New York will adopt a new phrase. Rise up. It’s the rally cry for the Atlanta Falcons. That’s the team looking to send Tom Brady and Bill Belichick back to the Dunkin’ Donuts-loving-land known as Foxboro, Massachusetts with a big, old, Super Bowl loss.

Will that happen? That’s yet to be seen. One thing is clear. Most of Buffalo is hoping for nothing but terrible things for the New England Patriots.
