Since the winter of 1976-77, and with help from the Blizzard of '77, Buffalo has held the winter snowfall record of 199.4 inches for all U.S. cities with a population of at least 100,000 people.  But the record is about to be broken.

Erie, Pennsylvania is on the verge of getting 200 inches of snow this season.  More snow is in the forecast this week and Erie Mayor Joe Schember spent the day doing interviews with the Weather Channel about his city's expected new record.

"The competitive side of me wants to be number one, no matter what the issue is, and we will take it for snow," said Schember

So, what do people in Erie think about possibly setting a new seasonal snowfall record and beating out Buffalo?
