BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A month's worth of not shaving to raise money for Roswell Park Cancer Institute is now paying off! On Friday, deputies and officers with the Erie County Sheriff's Office are going to present a check to Roswell Park, made possible by the money they raised through No-Shave November and Color for a Cure.
According to the sheriff's office, more than 400 deputies from the Jail Management Division, Police Services and Corrections officers Alden facility took part in the fundraiser, bringing in more than $23,000.
Sheriff Timothy Howard is presenting a check in that amount to representatives from Roswell at 10 a.m. in the lobby of hte Erie County Holding Center in Buffalo.
