Erie County wants you.
They’re trying to get a better idea of how well broadband works throughout the county.
According to the state, 97% of Erie County is connected to some form of broadband. Not everyone at Monday’s presentation held by the county believes that number. Neither does the firm hired by the county to see how broadband can be improved. That company set up a survey to get a better sense of broadband in Erie County.
The survey asks if you can get broadband, what type, and if you think it’s fairly priced. The hope is to have as many people as possible participate.
“We want to know the parts of Erie County that are reasonably served. Do you feel you’re getting good service for a good price? And also, where there are areas where it is insufficient or where people are dissatisfied,” said Matthew Crider of ECC Technologies.
The company hired to look at the current broadband situation in Erie County provided some recommendations. They hope to narrow those down sometime in March.
