A man who was stopped on Route 16 by a New York State Trooper in the Town of Yorkshire for an equipment violation was arrested for DWI.
Tres W. Hurrell, 19, of Machias, was arrested after an odor of alcoholic beverage was detected leading to a failed field sobriety test. Hurrell reportedly had a BAC of .10 percent.
Hurrell was issued a ticket to appear in the Town of Yorkshire Court in February.
