You wouldn't expect to find a family, with school age kids, catching a late, weekday movie, unless it was a snow day.
"We kind of knew from yesterday we were going to have some snow, I kind of kind of expected it," Maggie Saia told 7 Eyewitness News.
Saia says Tuesday was the first snow day of the year for her two young kids.
"I know my son did the tricks -- ice cubes in the toilet, the spoon in the freezer for a snow day or blizzard."
But for many families we spoke with, the snow day wasn't exactly needed.
"We actually went to the DMV before we came here and the door was closed," Saia said.
"I was wondering why it was closed today because it's not that bad, we've gone to school with more snow."
More than 700 viewers took our twitter poll and nearly 60 percent felt today's weather was not worthy of a snow day, others weighed in both for and against the decision to close.
Do you think today's weather was worth a snow day?

@WKBW shouldn't have closed schools. Parents could have kept their kids home if they thought it was unsafe.

@WKBW If everything would have stayed open there would be a hundred accidents. Despite what Buffalonians think, most drive cant in snow.
