Electricity consumers may see lower prices this summer.
The New York State Public Service Commission says there is adequate generation capacity, and utility owners are prepared to meet customers demands this summer. They also say wholesale electricity prices are expected to be lower or stable this summer, compared to last summer.
Due to the historic decline in natural gas prices, wholesale electricity prices have fallen significantly.
