The Gowanda Police Department has a warning about a burglar who may be targeting elderly residents.
Police say they are investigating three separate burglaries that happened between July and this past week.
The thief entered the homes when the residents were not home and stole large sums of money.
According to police, all of the incidents happened in the Village of Gowanda. The first incident happened on Union Street over the summer, the second occurred in November on Buffalo Street, and the most recent incident happened on Townsend Avenue.
Police are asking residents to keep their eyes out for any suspicious activity.
They also recommend using a secure safe if you or someone in your family is going to keep a large sum of money in the home.
