East Aurora police are investigating a stabbing that left two people injured.
Police say the assault took place on Monday, December 11th at about 9:44 p.m. inside a home on Oakwood Avenue. Officers responded to the address after receiving a 911 call from a 47-year old woman stating that she was stabbed by a man after a brief struggle in a bedroom.
Once police arrived on the scene, they arrested Christopher Giafaglione and charged him with assault 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
The woman was taken to ECMC with cuts to her arms and a leg. Giafaglione was also taken to ECMC with minor injuries. Once he's medically cleared, he will be returned to Town of Aurora Police Department for arraignment in court.
