Early-morning earthquake rumbles Niagara County, registers magnitude 2.0

Some people in Niagara County may have felt a slight rumble from down below early Wednesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a low-magnitude earthquake hit the town of Newfane around 3:30 a.m.

Its epicenter was reported near Coomer Road and registered a magnitude of 2.0.

No damage was reported.
