City of Dunkirk Police have identified 27-year-old John M. Sharpe as the victim involved in the fatal train accident in Dunkirk.
At around 8:30 p.m. on August 25th, City of Dunkirk Police responded to a train accident on the CSX Rail Line above the South Roberts Road overpass.
Sharpe was pronounced dead at the scene.
City Police, CSX Police, and the Chautauqua County Coroner's office are currently investigating the accident.
