Dunkirk man sentenced on cocaine charge

Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that 32-year-old Javier Pagan, Jr., who was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, was sentenced to time. 

Officials who handled the case stated law enforcement officers have been investigating a drug trafficking organization led by David Jesus Pagan and Rafael Burgos, Jr. Investigators determined the defendants distributed multiple kilograms of cocaine throughtout the Dunkirk area.

Javier Pagan was arrested in June 2013 along with David Jesus Pagan and Rafael Burgos, Jr. Authorites recovered more than seven kilograms of cocaine and approximately $175,000 in cash as well as an AR-15 assault rifle with a 30 round magazine at six properties after executing search warrants. 

All defendants have been convicted in this case.
