Dunkirk boil water order lifted

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WKBW) - The Chautauqua County Department of Health announced the boil water order has been lifted for all customers in the City of Dunkirk.

As of Saturday, customers in the City of Dunkirk, Town of Dunkirk and the Town of Sheridan no longer need to boil or conserve water. Bacteria samples show the water is safe and the water levels are back to normal.

The boil water order was originally issued on Thursday after construction crews at the plant caused a leak.
