More than 3,000 NYSEG customers are without power, Wednesday morning, after a dump truck crashed into a power pole.  The damage to a transformer caused the outages.

The power outages are reported in Alden, Amherst and Clarence.  Clarence customers are seeing the worst of the power outages.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on Thompson Road in Clarence about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

A section of the road is closed as crews work to fix the problem.

Deputies are investigating how this crash happened.
