A City of Tonawanda man was arrested after police say he allowed his 13-year old to drive his vehicle, because he was too drunk.
Police arrested 40-year-old Kevin McCaffrey Saturday night. Officers were called to Burger King on Delaware Street around 7pm, after clerks say he was giving them a hard time.
Officers learned that McCaffrey had his son drive to the restaurant so they could have dinner, but they stopped as a gas station first for "gas and cigarettes"
The child confirmed the story and told officers, "My dad was too drunk to drive, so I did the driving." The child was taken to a relative's house, and Child Protective Services was notified.
McCaffrey faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment
