A 43-year-old Buffalo woman is facing DWI charges after police received calls of a reckless driver on Orchard Park Road Friday night.
Around 9:30pm, Orchard Park Police got calls about a vehicle driving across the center line of Orchard Park Road, into oncoming traffic.
A witness followed the vehicle into a bar parking lot on Michael Road, and an officer arrived soon after.
Police say Jennifer Lafferty was behind the wheel, driving with a suspended license, and was acting erratically. She also had an outstanding warrant in Niagara County.
Police say Lafferty did not have alcohol in her system, but did have multiple controlled substances on her.
The accused faces several charges, including DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
She will face the charges on March 15th in Orchard Park Town Court.
