Posted

The driver who crashed through a guardrail on Humboldt Parkway and landed on Rt. 33 West has been charged in connection to the crash.

Carresian Holloway, 19, has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police believe the vehicle she was driving is connected to a murder that took place just moments before.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, a person burst through the door of a home on Purdy Street and started shooting.

Antwaine Vance, 42, was declared dead at the scene. Dominique Jackson, 24, is listed in stable condition at ECMC. Police say the pair was specifically targeted.

After the shooting, police say Holloway crashed her car through a guardrail on Humboldt Parkway and landed on Rt. 33 West below. The highway was shut down while crews took photos of the scene and cleared debris from the roadway.

Holloway was taken into custody and police say they recovered a weapon.

At this time, she has not been charged in connection with the murder.
